About Studio Lagerloef

Studio Lagerloef is a New York–based interior design studio specializing in residential spaces that balance comfort and refinement. Each project reflects a tailored sensibility, combining distinctive materials to create spaces that are both sophisticated and enduring.

Founder and principal designer, Taylor Lagerloef, was raised in Westport, Connecticut, and later lived and studied in Paris before moving to New York. Her formative experiences in Fairfield County, combined with the richness of city life in Paris and New York, shaped a design perspective that merges practicality with creativity. With over 13 years of experience, she began her career at Rinfret, Ltd., contributing to projects including the Kips Bay Palm Beach Showhouse and a range of notable private residences.

Today, Studio Lagerloef’s approach is highly collaborative and client-centered. Every project begins with a deep understanding of clients’ lifestyles, priorities, and vision. The studio oversees all aspects of a project, from conceptual design and space planning to procurement and styling, working closely with skilled craftspeople, suppliers, architects and builders to bring each vision to life with precision and care. The team takes a hands-on approach to design and execution, maintaining clear communication, careful project management, and meticulous attention to detail. This process ensures that each project is not only well-executed, but also comfortable, livable, and reflective of the client’s personal story.

Currently, Studio Lagerloef is working on a diverse set of projects nationally, including locations such as Greenwich, CT, Manhattan, and Martha’s Vineyard.
